What documents do I need to scrap my car?

Can I scrap my car without a V5C?
Yes, you can still scrap your car without its V5C logbook. You’ll usually just need your photo ID and proof of address instead. Let us know the logbook is missing when you get your quote so there are no surprises on collection day.
Can I scrap a car with outstanding finance?
Not while there’s still money owing on a hire purchase or PCP deal, as the car belongs to the finance company until it’s paid off. Settle the balance or speak to your lender first. Once that’s sorted, you can get a quote and scrap it as normal.
