3. Collection and Payment
With an offer now guaranteed, we'll put you in touch with one of our specialist scrap collectors who will arrange a mutually convenient time to come and remove your car. Once the car is loaded up and taken away, following a brief inspection to ensure the car is as described, and to check your photo ID and proof of address, payment will be made directly into your bank account. What happens to scrap cars?
All scrap cars are recycled in line with government legislation and environmental guidelines. Your car will be stripped back and returned to its original materials, through a process called depollution. These parts can then be reused in the manufacturing process. Quite often the materials from scrap cars are used in the building of new ones – so by scrapping your car you’re actually helping another find the road! Once it’s been recycled, if requested, you’ll be issued a Certificate of Destruction, your proof the car has been taken off the road for good.
