The CUPRA standalone marque is so new that we don’t have enough data to spot trends just yet. So how about the brand that started it all – SEAT?
Well, 48% of all SEATs that we scrapped were Ibizas, the compact hatchback that’s been around since the 80s. The SEAT Leon made up 31% of the Spanish manufacturer’s scrapped vehicles, while the family motor, the Altea was the third-most scrapped SEAT. That model, however, only made up 9% of the total!
Based on the small amount of data that we have right now, the average age of the CUPRAs we did scrap was… 3 years! A disappointingly short lifespan for those drivers, no doubt about it. As for SEAT cars, their average life was a much better 16 years.
