How Is My Quote Generated?
Once we have taken your vehicle’s details, we will run them through our database of nationwide buyers to find a suitable buyer for your vehicle. Our network will compare buyers based on location and price to ensure that you are always getting the best deal for your vehicle, and because all collections are free the price you are quoted is the price that you’re paid!
Are There Any Areas in Exeter Which You Can’t Collect From?
The buyers on our network cover all of the UK and so the majority of towns, villages and cities can be collected from. If, however, your vehicle is in a particularly remote location it may be more difficult to retrieve, however that’s not to say that our buyers won’t be able to collect it! Our buyers have an array of recovery equipment and so if you’d like to know if we have buyers who collect from your area get in contact for a no obligation quote!
How Long Do Collections Take?
The time required for retrieving your vehicle varies because each scrap vehicle is unique and various factors such as whether your vehicle is in an accessible location, whether it has keys, wheels etc can all affect how long the process will take. The buyers available on our network are all industry experts with years of experience and so the collection process will always be as streamlined as possible.
What Do I Do With The V5c Log Book?
Both you and the collector of your vehicle will need to complete section 9 of your V5c. Please note that if this is not done you could be fined up to £1,000 and could still be liable for any tickets or fines the vehicle obtains after the vehicle has been sold. Once this form has been completed it is down to you to send it off to the DVLA. If your car has been bought for scrap you will usually receive a Certificate Of Destruction within 7 days to state that your vehicle has been destroyed in line with the governmental guidelines however if your vehicle has been sold again after this or bought for salvage purposes you will not receive one.
My Car Is In Poor Condition, Can You Still Collect?
No problem! Our comparison service searches nationwide to find the best price for your vehicle no matter what the vehicle’s condition, make or model. When filling out the form, just be as accurate as possible when describing the vehicle’s condition and we’ll search our network to find the most suitable buyer for you!
When Will I Get Paid?
You’ll receive payment on the very same day your vehicle is collected.
