We’re proud to be supporting Mummy’s Star this July. We’ll be raising money solely through donations from our customers to help women and birthing people diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy or within 12 months of giving birth, and their families.
Mummy’s Star was founded following the passing of Mair, a 41-year-old mother who discovered a lump in her breast when she was 22 weeks pregnant with their second child. Sadly Mair passed away just 10 weeks after the birth of her new son, Merlin. You can read her full story here. The treatment Mair received from a number of charities inspired the family to start up Mummy’s Star to ensure that all families facing a cancer diagnosed in or around a pregnancy would have access to the same level of care, understanding and reassurance.
