We’re proud to be supporting Dreamflight for the remainder of June. We’ll be raising money solely through donations from our customers to help children with a serious illness or disability embark on their holiday of a lifetime to Orlando.
Dreamflight was co-founded in 1986 by former British Airways employees Patricia Pearce and Derek Pereira. Using experience from previous BA charitable ‘party flights’ for underprivileged children, they set up Dreamflight to go one step further and take deserving children for their dream trip to Walt Disney World.
The first flight took place in 1987 and since then over 6,700 children have gone on the annual trip. With no parents allowed, 192 children go from the UK to Orlando on a privately hired flight accompanied by a huge volunteer team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and other helpers who look after the children for 10 days.
